I’m so late blogging about this but here it goes anyways! A couple weeks ago I attended a tea party commemorative of the 100 year anniversary since the Titanic sunk thrown by Solanah of Vixen Vintage. It was a lovely event with the loveliest women around! Since I have a cropped flapper do I was at a loss being that the Edwardians had long cascading hair they would put in updo’s. My solution, be an Edwardian child! They had short hair and I adore vintage children’s fashion and secretly hoard it. I found a sweet middy blouse and made a belt for it out of an antique shell buckle and antique ribbon. I paired it up with a Victorian petticoat, some wooly stockings and some patent leather mary janes I’ve had since I was probably 14! (gotta love those Courtney Love days) I brought along my pierrot Lenci doll to help show that I was a child. I felt very *me* being that dressing like a vintage doll is still one of my fashion goals.
