Hands down Chie Mihara is my favorite modern shoe designer to date! I have a collection going, maybe 8-10 pairs?
It all started with these green T-strap Mary Janes available through Anthropologie. It’s not easy to find a bold color shoe in such a vintage shoe and shape. I think I missed the season for these and was lucky enough to find them on ebay.
Here are some other Chie’s from past seasons:
These faux croc are the perfect 1940’s day shoe. I got them in a dark green!
Aren’t these chucky heel oxford pumps to die for? I adore the vintage luggage leather color, warm carmel!
So much detail in these white and brown t-straps. The punched leather is so 1930’s. The two-tone look goes great with so many outfits.
Check out these Victorian inspired beauties. I got them for Christmas last year. The lace cutouts on leather and contrasting piping are details you just don’t find anywhere else.
This pair in a very dark eggplant purple-grey I had to have my husband order from Japan. Thank you Twitter and kind people who helped us out ordering these! It’s hard to call it but these certainly get worn a lot and are one of my favorites.
These were my fall must have’s!
Currently coveting these “Tulipan” Chie Miharas:
I’ve just never seen a more beautifully designed shoe from the inside out. They don’t screw it up with goofy heals or garish colors that might go out of style eventually. I think of it as the best investment in my whole wardrobe!
